Cruise sweeps to top of the US box office

Tom Cruise’s move to the dark side paid off as his new movie Collateral topped the US box office at the weekend.

Collateral, in which Cruise plays a grey-haired hitman, fetched almost €20m, despite questions over how well audiences would take to the former Top Gun becoming one of the bad guys.
