Gervais defends American Office

Golden Globe winner Ricky Gervais has leapt to the defence of the American remake of his acclaimed sitcom The Office.

The British comedian has dismissed reports of serious concerns over the pilot episode of the US series, describing the show as "good" and "faithful to the original".
