Lollipop in the eye halts Bowie gig

Rocker David Bowie's sell-out concert in Norway was halted on Friday night after he was hit in the eye with a Lollipop thrown from the crowd.

Bowie, aged 57, was left in agony when the stick lodged between his eye ball and eye. A shocked fan says, "He grabbed a mike and called the person responsible a coward and b****** for hiding in the crowd.

"Everyone booed as the concert was stopped."

An aide rushed to free the missile from Bowie's eye - enabling him to resume his performance.

A unnamed woman in her 30s has confessed to being the culprit - but she claims it was an accident.

She explains, "I was dancing, holding the sweet up. Then I was pushed and it flew from my hand."
