Britney Spears, a recent visitor to Ireland, has confirmed she will axe the rest of her summer tour after undergoing an operation on an injured knee.

The pop beauty, who caused a stir with her performances in Ireland on the latest leg of the Onyx Hotel world tour earlier this month, hurt the knee while filming a video last week.
