Shrek sequel to compete at Cannes

The sequel to animated hit Shrek will, like its predecessor, be in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.

Also in the competition this year for the Palme d'Or will be British film The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and Michael Moore's Fahrenheit, 9/11.
