Dogville director dog rough, says Kidman
Nicole Kidman says making her latest film 'Dogville' was a painful and miserable experience.
The actress says she cried repeatedly during filming because the director, Lars Von Trier was "harsh and judgmental".
Despite finding him difficult to work with, she says it was a great learning experience.
Apparently she's still on very good terms with the filmmaker, though she does not say whether she would work with him again.
The film itself is far from jolly - set in the Depression, she plays a woman on the run from gangsters, who is raped by a group of savage men.
