Theron salary shoots up after Oscar win

Charlize Theron has been celebrating her Oscar win for Monster at a series of glamorous parties since Sunday.

And the 28-year-old actress has an exciting future to look forward to as a result of her best actress prize.

It’s estimated that the salary she can command per movie has shot up to £10m (€15m).

In the past she’s received £1-2m (€1.5-3m) for major films, and much less for each low-budget projects like her highly acclaimed Monster.

She’s already been inundated with high-profile big budget offers.

Her next film is Head In The Clouds, a romantic drama with Penelope Cruz and her real-life fiance, Irish actor Stuart Townsend.
