Passion continues unexpected performance

The box office success of Mel Gibson’s highly controversial crucifixion film, The Passion Of The Christ, continues to outstrip expectations.

After less than a week on release in the States, it has already taken $125m (€100.9m) – a huge success for a film that was widely presumed to be a star’s folly and confidently predicted to flop.
