Gervais shocked at Office awards

Ricky Gervais was as genuinely shocked as everyone else at the Golden Globes when The Office won an award – it was the first time a British sitcom had won best comedy.

Gervais also won best TV comedy acting award, another first for a British star. “I’m not from these parts,” he joked. “I’m from a little place called England, we used to run the world before you.”
