Lord Of The Rings director would love to shoot prequel
Peter Jackson would love to shoot the prequel to J.R.R.Tolkien’s trilogy Lord Of The Rings books, The Hobbit.
The director, who filmed the trilogy to massive worldwide critical and commercial acclaim, is worried that disputes over novel’s rights will prove an obstacle to making the movie prequel.
But Royd Tolkien, 34, the author’s great-grandson, has lent his support to Jackson’s request. He says: “I would love to see Peter Jackson make a film of The Hobbit. That would be the perfect ending.”
