Dead End is on road to nowhere

Why make a 'horror' film when it's not scary, dark, mysterious or even mildly interesting?

The lavishly-named directors of this collection of rotten old clichés - there is absolutely nothing innovative in its miserable 85 minutes - have got away with murder in the aptly-named story of the family heading off to spend the jolly Yuletide season with the in-laws.

Roll all the worst moments from history's roll-call of cinema's worst moments: everybody bickers and is horrible; dad decides to take a short-cut along the back roads, they enter a world of ghastly 'things' which see off the travellers.

It all grinds to a halt with the conventional ending which has been the stock of every half-baked film since time began.

It's quite simply an awful load of dried bones.
