Stewart 'amazed' at album's success

The unexpected success of Rod Stewart’s album of classic songs, The Great American Songbook, has led to a sequel, Volume II, which was released yesterday in Britain and America.

“You could have knocked me down with a feather,” Stewart said of the reaction to the first album, which sold four million copies worldwide. “It was amazing.”
