Knightley to adopt American accent

British actress Keira Knightley, who has become an international star since appearing in Bend It Like Beckham, is to adopt an American accent for her next film.

Knightley, who starred in Pirates Of The Caribbean and is currently filming producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s King Arthur in Ireland, will next be sharing the screen with this year’s best actor Oscar winner Adrien Brody in The Jacket, which will be produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh.
