Ritchie opts for western

British filmmaker Guy Ritchie has temporarily shelved his plans for Revolver, a controversial film featuring the beliefs of kabbalah, in favour of a Civil War-era drama for a major studio.

Madonna’s husband has accepted an offer from Columbia to direct Six Shooters, a Western robbery film described as being in the vein of Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, according to reports in Hollywood. Filming is expected to begin in March.
