Stone and Berry set for on-screen catfight

Sharon Stone has been offered a co-starring role which would pit her against Halle Berry in Catwoman.

If negotiations are successful, Stone will play the villain Laurel, a cosmetics magnate and arch-enemy of Berry’s Catwoman, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

It will be the first major film for some time for Stone, whose most recent role was in Mike Figgis's Cold Creek Manor.

Catwoman is expected to also star Josh Lucas as Detective Lone, Catwoman’s love interest.
