Godfather of Soul James Brown has announced the break-up of his marriage with a full-page advert in the show-business newspaper Variety.

The advert features a photo of 70-year-old Brown, wife Tomi Rea and their now two-year-old son, James Joseph Brown II, smiling at Walt Disney World while posing with cartoon character Goofy.
