Depp based new character on Rolling Stone

Johnny Depp has based his character as the swashbuckling hero of the new Walt Disney Co adventure film Pirates Of The Caribbean on Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards.

“I was reading about the 18th century pirates and thought they were kind of like rock stars,” Depp, who has known Richard since the mid-1980s, told the Los Angeles Times.
