James Dean was ready to give up acting

Hollywood icon James Dean was ready to quit acting just before his fatal 1955 car crash.

“Jimmy was going to try directing. It was going to be a movie called The Actor, about being a movie star,” Dennis Hopper, who was one of Dean’s closest friends, has told the New York Daily News.
