Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone’s documentary about Fidel Castro has been pulled from American television because it is viewed as too flattering to the Cuban dictator.

The documentary, Commandante, for which Stone received unprecedented access to Castro and the right to film in Cuba, was shot a year ago for the HBO cable network.
