Eminem tipped for musical role

Eminem is reportedly emerging as the leading contender to take the starring role in the planned film remake of the musical Bye, Bye Birdie.

Many believe the role of Conrad Birdie, a rock star drafted into the Army who gives a farewell concert for his fans in a small Midwestern town would be ideal for Eminem, following his success in 8 Mile.
