Oscars fail to grab viewers' attention
Oscar was looking rather grey on the morning after – not as a result of Michael Moore's acceptance speech but from its lowest ratings in almost 30 years.
The telecast managed to drum up just 33.1 million viewers to watch Chicago dance away with Best Picture on Sunday – the lowest ratings since Nielsen started counting in 1974. In contrast, 41.8 million ogled Best Picture winner A Beautiful Mind in 2002, while a whopping 55.2 million watched Titanic sail to first place in 1998.
