Nelly forced to postpone Irish dates

Chart-topping star Nelly today postponed his tour until the autumn.

The star was due to play a series of shows next month with fellow US act Eve but a “personal matter” has led to the arena concerts being put back for several months.

The concerts are believed to have been postponed because of illness in Nelly’s family.

A statement by tour promoter Clear Channel said: “Unfortunately, Nelly has had to postpone the tour due to an unforeseeable personal matter.”

Fans are being told to either retain their tickets for the rescheduled dates or get a refund from the point of purchase.

Nelly and Eve were due to play in The Point in Dublin and Belfast’s Odyssey Arena.
