Bono to receive humanitarian award

U2 front-man Bono is to receive a humanitarian award in recognition of his campaigns to eradicate third world debt and to highlight AIDS devastation in Africa at this year's Meteor Music Awards.

Bono has decided that the €100,000 prize will be shared equally between aid agencies Goal and Concern.
