Veteran actress Meryl Streep made Oscar history when the nominations were unveiled in Beverly Hills yesterday.

She received her 13th acting nomination for her role as author Susan Orlean in quirky comedy Adaptation, making her the most nominated performer ever and breaking her tie with Katherine Hepburn.
