Spector shooting was 'accident', says pal

Phil Spector is to say the shooting dead of an actress at his California mansion last week was accidental, a close friend of the legendary music producer says.

“I believe his defence will be that this was a tragic accident,” said Marvin Mitchelson, a prominent Los Angeles lawyer who has been friends with Spector for about 12 years and has travelled extensively with him.
