Weddings are supposed to be public events, the judge hearing the Catherine Zeta Jones privacy case said today.

Mr Justice Lindsay has been listening for two days to the damages claim by Miss Zeta Jones and her husband, Michael Douglas, who say their private lives were violated when paparazzi snatched pictures of the film stars’ marriage at a New York Hotel in November 2000.
