Oasis re-record Wonderwall

Oasis have been in the studio to re-record their most famous single Wonderwall.

It is thought the new version of the track is "completely different" to its studio predecessor, with Noel singing instead of Liam.

The group originally released the Britpop anthem in October 1995 when it entered the UK chart at number two.

But the new version is believed to have been inspired by Ryan Adams, who covered the song recently in his live set.

Since hearing Adams' rendition, Noel has been playing an acoustic version of the song live.

The new Oasis single Songbird comes out on February 3. It will feature Noel's new songs (You've Got) The Heart Of A Star and Columbia - recorded live at the Glasgow Barrowlands in October 2001.
