Fame Academy winner David Sneddon's debut single has stormed to the top of the charts and put an end to Girls Aloud's four week reign at No1.

His single Stop Living The Lie topped the Official UK Top 40 - pushing the Popstars: The Rivals girl-band down two places to number three with their Christmas hit Sound of the Underground.
