Screenwriters get dose of police reality

Two screenwriters for the US police TV series Robbery Homicide Division are seeing trauma therapists after going on patrol with the LAPD.

Todd Kessler and Jan Oxenberg thought the field trip would help them add reality to the stories they penned for CBS. Instead, after just one ride, they ended up as targets, witnesses and accident victims.
