Bee Gee Maurice Gibb critical in hospital

Maurice Gibb of British group the Bee Gees was in a critical condition in hospital today after undergoing surgery for a blockage in his intestine.

The 53-year-old was taken ill in Miami, Florida, and is recovering from the operation with his wife and children at his bedside.
