'Rings' star aims to encourage kids to act

Lord of the Rings star Billy Boyd told today how he planned to encourage more youngsters from deprived areas to take up acting.

Boyd, who plays the Hobbit Pippin in the epic blockbuster, told how he had been in talks with the acting union Equity in a bid to get disadvantaged children involved in his profession.
