Attempts made to move Oscars to NY

Robert de Niro and Spike Lee are attempting to move part of the Oscars to Manhattan.

Outspoken Miramax boss Harvey Weinstein and New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg are also on the committee hoping to convince the Academy to include a section of the awards from the US East Coast.
