Die-hard Harry Potter fans have organised a €7,000 worldwide whip-round to buy a sneak preview of the plot of the next novel.

More than 2,000 fans have joined an internet group to bid for a "teaser" written by author JK Rowling, which reveals clues about the long-awaited next book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
