Zsa Zsa remains in serious condition
Zsa Zsa Gabor today remained in a serious condition after being injured in a car crash earlier in the week in Los Angeles, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Gabor, 85, was likely to remain in hospital for about a week at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, her husband Frederic von Anhalt said.
âI talked to her, she whispered, but you can hardly understand her,â Mr von Anhalt said on Friday night. âShe looks at me and she recognises me.â
Hospital spokeswoman Leslie Porras did not release further details.
The film and television actress suffered broken bones in the crash and received stitches to her head, hands, arms and legs, Mr von Anhalt said. She was expected to undergo surgery to help broken bones in her arms heal.
Gabor was a passenger in the front seat of a car that struck a light pole on the Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on Wednesday afternoon.
The car was driven by her hairdresser, who was treated for minor injuries at the scene, police said.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
