Elton John warns pop idols of 'cruel' Simon

Chart veteran Elton John has taken a swipe at pop moguls for “cruelly” chewing up and spitting out young hopefuls.

He rounded on figures such as Simon Cowell for raking in profits from young acts and seeing them as just “another Mercedes Benz”.
