Oasis hit was not about ex-wife, says Noel

Oasis star Noel Gallagher has revealed his most famous composition is not about his ex-wife – and he has not had the courage to tell her.

The guitarist – who pens much of the band’s material – says people have wrongly assumed Wonderwall was about Meg Mathews, from whom he split last year.
