Ms Dynamite blown away by her award

Acclaimed for her thoughtful lyricism and powerful melodic voice, Ms Dynamite was lost for words when she became the first solo black female artist to win the prestigious Mercury Music Prize last night.

The 21-year-old from north London beat hotly tipped acts such as The Streets and The Coral to win the £20,000 (€31,600) prize for her debut album A Little Deeper.
