Spielberg's Star Wars plea turned down

Movie mogul Steven Spielberg has revealed he begged pal George Lucas to let him direct a Star Wars movie.

But Lucas, creator of the blockbuster space saga, is too proud of his ‘‘baby’’ to let the Oscar winning director try.
