Botox gets the thumbs up…and wrinkles down

Botox, the favoured new beauty drug on the celebrity circuit that temporarily removes ‘‘frown lines’’ and other wrinkles, was formally approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for cosmetic use.

The ruling allows its manufacturer to launch an advertising campaign to convince Americans they can look younger and less worried with a few small injections, the Washington Post said.
