Security operation swings into gear for Oscars

The Oscars were today getting under way in Hollywood amid unprecedented security.

Fears of a possible terrorist attack and the move to a new venue in the heart of a busy retail district led to a number of extra measures being put in place for this year’s star-studded awards bash.
