Sony bosses are to ask Michael Jackson to give the Japanese firm his half-share of the Beatle’s back-catalogue, it was reported today.

The singer bought the rights to the Beatles’ songs from British firm Associated Communications Corporation in 1985 and sold 50% of it to Sony in 1991 for £70m (€114.5m)
