Spotify hits 140m user mark

Music streaming service Spotify now has 140 million monthly active users, as revealed by the company in its annual financial statement (via Gadgets 360).

Spotify had 126 million monthly active users at the end last year, which means the company registered 14 million new users in the time since.

The company also reported an operating loss of €349 million for 2016, a revenue increase of more than 50 percent and an increase in paid subscribers from 28 million in 2015 to 48 million in 2016.
