Metroid: Samsus Returns announced

The Nintendo Switch will not be the only Nintendo gaming unit to receive a new Metroid game in the near future as Metroid: Samsus Returns has been announced for the 3DS.

As revealed during Nintendo’s Treehouse E3 livestream, the game is a modern take on the classic 1991 game Metroid II: Return of Samus for the Game Boy, and features updated 3D graphics, a revised music score plus new gameplay abilities.

Metroid: Samsus Returns is being developed by MercurySteam, the Spanish studio behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadows.
