A new patent application from Apple published by the US Patent & Trademark Office (via Patently Apple) reveals how the company intends to improve the wireless circuitry systems of its devices through use of patch antennas.

The patent application is Apple’s fifth wireless charging patent so far this year and indicates the importance of this technology to the company.
