See how Uncharted 4's dance taunts were captured

Uncharted 4 features a range of dance taunts, including The Pop and Lock, The Dab, and The Robot among others. Naughty Dog released a video to showcase how these were captured and brought to life in game.

The developer enlisted professional choreographers Matt Steffanina and Dana Alexa. They donned the motion capture suits and performed a variety of new and classic dance routines, which players can then use to taunt enemies in-game.

In the video Naughty Dog reveals that it hadn’t intended to capture their facial expressions, but that these added more tone and life to the dances, so were included in the end. And we get to hear about the difficulties of dancing while wearing a motion capture suit from the professionals. We don’t imagine that it would be comfortable!
