Xbox One summer update could pave the way for emulators

Members of the Xbox community have been quick to point out that this could mean that users will be able to run emulators and torrent apps on their consoles. This means that Xbox One owners could gain access to a wealth of free games, both new and old, as well as TV shows, movies, and music. Of course, this will be illegal, but that won’t be enough to stop some.

One Xbox One owner has already managed to get Game Boy emulation app VBA10 to work on their console. This can be used to play every Game Boy title for free. It even features auto saves, controller support, and cheat codes.
