Google's Motion Stills jazzes up your Live Photos
Its Motion Stills app is designed to stabilise Apple’s Live Photos and make them a little more interesting. Live Photos are basically short videos featuring dozens of still frames. Google’s Motion Stills not only stabilises these Live Photos, but can actually freeze the background, which creates an interesting gif with only one moving element.
Google Research's Machine Perception’s Ken Conley and Matthias Grundmann said that they developed the algorithm by stabilising millions of videos and by creating GIF animations from photo bursts.
Google’s Motion Stills app is now available to download from the App Store and it’s free.
