VIDEO Horizon Zero Dawn looks incredible - release date revealed

Just wait until you see what's in store in the latest trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn. It's all about the story of this vastly ambitious game, but mustly it shows off how gorgeous this future world is going to look.

The only response is wow, followed by some significant sadness when you see the release date of February 2017.

The game was originally gearing up for release in 2016 before Guerrilla Games confirmed it had slipped to next year, and while we wish it could arrive now there's a lot of work to be done to deliver something this ambitious to PlayStation 4's around the world.

Guerilla is best known for producing the Killzone series - a gorgeous set of first person shooters which were known for their rigid paths through levels. As their first open world title, Horizon is going to be one heck of a learning experience.

Still if it only captures half of the potential in the premise and setting, it will be one of the biggest titles of 2017 and we can't wait to see more at E3.

Horizon Zero Dawn is set for release in February, 2016.
