“I love my job, I have so much fun. I love coming in to work — and I love the team the people that I work with.
"My co-presenter Stephen [Byrne] is literally one of my best friends,” she says.
And she has no complaints about her heavy workload.
“I’m busy but it’s good to be busy, I ‘d be more annoyed if I wasn’t busy”.
Aged 28, her relationship with the national broadcaster goes back to her first appearance at the age of three months as the daughter of Biddy and Miley in Glenroe.
But she takes nothing for granted.
“Everyday, I say, ‘oh my God this is amazing... this is what I do’.
"Especially when you’re chatting to your other friends and some are unhappy in their jobs and a lot of my friends had to leave the country to get jobs, to pursue their careers.”
She also realises the value of grit and determination.
“Stuff doesn’t land in your lap, you’ve got to work for it. It is demanding but you wouldn’t do it if you didn’t love it.”

I could be in a lot better shape. I’m not the fittest person in the world.
I did join the gym back in January but, like everybody, I was really good at the start. I was going all the time but then life and work got in the way.
You think to yourself ‘I’m going to lie in for another hour’ rather than go to the gym after work.
My boyfriend is quite fit, he goes to the gym and takes care of himself. I’m the devil on his shoulder who says ‘let’s get a takeaway’ and he’s like ‘no we’ll cook something properly’.
He always makes a vegetable green juice — kale, celery and lemon and oranges and pears — and makes one for me too.
I love Thai green curries from Mai Thai, my favourite place. And I’m a monster when it comes to chocolate — I have it every single day. But I always get spots and it’s from all the crap I eat.
I can get quite stressed out. I tend to ask myself, ‘have I done this, have I done that?’
But I try to switch that off and deal with tomorrow what’s happening tomorrow.
I think I’m a lazy person wrapped up in a busy person’s life. I love nothing more than flaking out on the couch — eating and binge watching Netflix.
And I love reading as well whenever I get the chance. I read Brooklyn and Room and Louise O’Neil’s Asking For It, and now I want to read Me Before You.
Jim Carrey because he’s just the funniest ever. Barak Obama — I want to know what’s going on in there. Davina McCaul — I think she’s amazing. And Beyoncé, obviously.
I love lavender. I get migraines and lavender is apparently very good for them.
I used to get them when I was really stressed out and I wasn’t taking care of myself — not sleeping properly and all that kind of stuff but I’ve gotten control over it.
What’s the point? Everyone is unhappy with some part of themselves.
I think it’s better to concentrate on your talents and your attributes and not be so concerned about how you look — to be more concerned with being a successful human being.
I had a wobbler last weekend — I got overwhelmed with stress. You just let it out.
Jealousy — I don’t think it’s a healthy thing to have.
Jealously. I try to concentrate on positivity. And I can be kind of lazy.
I wouldn’t be religious. I would always try to project positivity. If you want something hard enough and concentrate on it enough, it will happen for you.
It’s my birthday today. My boyfriend is taking me out for dinner in Monkstown.
I get dressed up for work all the time, so I’m going to go casual tonight. I think I’m going to wear my runners.
