Instagram adds video channels

Instagram may still be better known for its still picture content but the company is investing heavily in the future of video.

To that end, they recently increased video length from 15 seconds to a minute and now they're making it easier to discover the content you want. The new Explore feature starts with a channel called 'Videos You Might Like' - a curated feed which also includes links off to featured channels of content in certain genres.

Instagram wants you to get stuck into Explore, every time you like a video it makes changes to ensure you're served more similar content, and less of the other footage you might be less interested in. You can also actively restrict certain content with the 'See Fewer Post Like This' function in the menu.
